The Pauli Fountain and the Stutterheim Mansion

The Pauli Fountain, adorning the center of the plaza, was donated in 1868 by the Pauli Couple.

The Stutterheim Mansion was built from 1728 until 1730 by the Official in Charge Christian Hieronymus von Stutterheim.

After a fire which broke out in 1810, Sophie Caroline Marie, Widow of Margrave Friedrich-Alexander, lived there until her death.

Between 1836 and 1971 the Mansion served as the Town Hall. Today it houses a library, the Department of Culture and art galleries.
